Katrina Riley, LCSW, has been in the social work field since she graduated with her Bachelors of Social Work Magna Cum Laude at the University of Utah in May 2015. She has since received her Masters of Social Work from the University of Utah and obtained her LCSW. Her main focus is forensic social work working mostly with teens and adults going through the court system. Katrina values validation and listening to create an atmosphere where clients feel safe to talk about their issues.
Katrina works with individuals on a broad spectrum of concerns including trauma, domestic violence, personality disorders, and substance use and does so by utilizing techniques from CBT, DBT, Acceptance and Commitment therapy and motivational interviewing. She has worked in forensic settings including the Utah State Prison, Salt Lake County metro jail, and with adolescents in a residential center going through the court system.
In her spare time, Katrina enjoys reading, video games, and spending time with her children. Additionally, she loves watching theater and learning new skills by working on her home.
